04.05.2009 - Back from Holiday

Mon May 4, 2009, 12:49 AM
Well we came back from our Easter break in the NW Highlands and I finally havea chance to get online and submit some more devs ... we had a great time the weather was fab, the scenery spectacular, the beaches great, and the kids even managed to behave themselves.

It was quite inspiring and we spent some time nosing around some of the far flung crafts shops coming home with a couple of pieces of generic holiday tat and a rather fabulous painting from a wee craft shop [link] that seemed to be based in a glorified shed in a tiny coastal village called Drumbeg. Cheifly the owner makes candles and soaps, the scents of which are almost overpowering (in a good way!) as you enter the shop, a very pleasent place indeed.

There was so much to see though and we came home with almost 400 photos although many of these are repeats as the mrs discovered she could just hold the button down and snap away with abandon ... I think she fancies herself as a papparazzi!

Anyway, I'll be taking these to the digital darkroom in due course and see if any are worthy of posting here, in the meantime you can seea picture of Stac Pollaidh, the kids first hill walking experience on MadeStuff [link]

See enough horror and experience enough pain and you become separated from your self.

An artist must create as often as possible. To cease this task is, to the soul of an artist, as ceasing to breathe.
